Teaching

Tomo has been a passionate teacher and mentor since the early years of his career, guiding numerous violinists towards success in concerts, festivals, competitions and auditions.

In 2022, he was appointed Professor of Violin at the HEMU Sion, Switzerland. Since then, his students have continued to thrive, earning international recognition and accolades.

In 2025 and 2026, he was invited to teach at the International Musicians Seminar at Prussia Cove, UK, alongside Gerhard Schulz.

He has also given masterclasses at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, the Royal Academy of Music and the Royal College of Music London, the Royal College of Music Stockholm, as well as at institutions across Asia and America, including Yale University and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.

In addition, Tomo has enjoyed great success coaching chamber ensembles and orchestras at youth academies and music festivals, often directing and performing together, as at the Grafenegg Academy in Austria and the PyeongChang Music Festival in South Korea.

The next project of this kind will take place with students of the Royal College of Music London in June 2027.

His annual summer course at the Tibor Varga Academy Sion has likewise become a great success, welcoming students of all ages.

During his concert tours throughout the academic year, Tomo regularly invites distinguished violinists and professors to Sion to work with his students. These include Svetlana Makarova, Sergey Malov, Nikolai Mintchev, Gerhard Schulz, Roman Simovic and Pavel Vernikov.
